West Hendon Brent reservoir


Discover the Brent Reservoir in west Hendon popularly called the Welsh Harp from the public house called the name which stood nearby until the early 1970s. The reservoir is the only site of special Scientific Interest in Barnet and Brent and hold enough water to fill 3 million baths. It is located at the boundary between the London boroughs of Brent and Barnet only 30 minutes from central London. The Welsh Harp is home to the Hendon Waterside project, a regeneration development set within 170 hectares of beautiful green surroundings.

Bedford Square: London's best preserved set pieces of Georgian architecture


Discover Bedford Square, a lovely garden square in the heart of the Bloomsbury district of the Borough of Camden in London.  It is considered one of the best preserved set pieces of Georgian architecture in London and many of the surrounded houses are grade I listed buildings.  It was built between 1775 and 1783 as an upper middle class residential area and its name comes from the main title of the Russell family, the Dukes of Bedford, who owned much of the land in what is now Bloomsbury. Bloomsbury Tavistock Square: home to Gandhi statue and cherry tree

Discover Tavistock Square a public square located in the heart of Bloomsbury within the London Borough of Camden.  A statue of Mahatma Gandhi, sculpted by Fredda Brilliant and installed in 1968 is the gardens centre-piece.  Tavistock Square was originally developed on the estate owned by the Dukes of Bedford in the 1820s.  It is also home to a fabulous cherry tree planted in 1967 in memory of Hiroshima victims.
